Courtesy Aircraft is proud to offer this extremely rare and significant engine to the market. This engine has been in inside museum storage for over 50 years.

The current owner obtained the engine from the collection of the National Air and Space Museum. The engine was recently inspected by borescope and is in very good condition. It would make a great engine to incorporate in a flying restoration or as the crown jewel of vintage aircraft engine collection. The engine is current located in Windsor Locks CT. and can be seen by appointment.  Display stand included.

The 801 was the first high-performance air-cooled radial engine designed and built in Germany during World War II. In all its variants, it was the most produced German radial with over 28,000 built.
