History:

This aircraft flew in the Congo C.I.A. Operations during the Cold War. (1963-1967). It helped chase the rebel Che Guevara and his Castro-Communist Black Berets from the Congo. Tango FG255 was armed with two Fifty Caliber underwing machine guns and two 2.75” rockets. It was very effective giving support to ground troops during the operation to drive out Chinese and Russian backed Simba Rebels.
