P-51 Engine overhaul details- July 2017 overhauled Packard Merlin V1650-7 aircraft engine, with 500 series cylinder banks, repaired in accordance with AN-02A-55AC-3 and Rolls Royce Technical Service Directive TSD-151.
The engine includes: – overhauled carburetor – overhauled starter – overhauled fuel pump – new cylinder liners – new “transport type » production pistons with original rings – one NOS transport -500 head – one OVH transport -500 head – new main bearings, fork rod bearings, blade rod bearings – R/R late style rocker arms with heavy chrome pads – overhauled Rotax magnetos with new coils and condensers – overhauled ignition harnesses with new wire – polished ‘Rolls Royce’ logo rocker covers – painted all over urethane ‘aluminum silver’ satin finish.
